Why I LOVE Trip.com Flights as a Part-Time Traveler

This post will share all about why I LOVE booking Trip.com flights as a part-time traveler!

I’ve been writing about Trip.com recently, because it’s genuinely my FAVORITE travel app of all-time.

I used them for YEARS before even starting this blog or any of my affiliations with travel programs. So even though I do have sponsored links in this post, I was NOT asked to write this post.

I truly just want to share it with my readers, because I think Trip.com is just THAT amazing!

(By the way, if you want to read my posts about Trip.com, you can read about why they’re so legit HERE, about my reviews of them HERE, and about their customer service HERE!)

All About Trip.com Flights

This post about Trip.com flights will go over:

  1. What to expect when booking Trip.com flights;
  2. How to easily add-onto your Trip.com flight booking;
  3. What happens when there are changes to your flight schedule;
  4. Why I personally HIGHLY recommend Trip.com for flight bookings!

Let’s get right into it!

What Can I Expect When Booking Trip.com Flights?

First off, it’s SUPER simple to search for flights on Trip.com. If you’ve ever booked flights online/on an app before, it should be pretty familiar to you.

You basically search to compare flights, select the flight route you want, book and pay as simply as you would with any other app or booking company.

For my flights in Asia, I could select seats after booking, but it did cost a few dollars to do so (like $2-3 USD), but I’m not sure if that’s an airline policy or an app policy.

Either way, it was super cheap and easy to select specific seats after booking!

For payment, I’ve used WeChat historically, since I’ve lived in China and Trip.com is WeChat friendly.

HOWEVER, if you’re a credit card person, you can use a Visa/Mastercard securely on the Trip.com app or website!

If you want to read more about their current payment policies, you can read them directly on their website by clicking this link.

Note: One of Trip.com’s perks is that if you books flights AND a hotel together, you’ll usually get some helpful discounts. So be sure to look into that when booking Trip.com flights!

How To Easily Add-Onto Your Trip.com Flight Booking

Even if you don’t book a hotel with your flight, there are plenty of add-on’s that can be selected after booking.

In the following screenshot, you can see how easy it is to access and read about these add-ons.

(Quick note: since I’m a Diamond traveler, meaning I’ve booked a LOT of things through Trip.com, I get 2 FREE VIP Lounge Tickets each year. I redeemed them during a recent flight transfer in Seoul, and it was amazing!!)

What Happens When There Are Changes To Your Flight Schedule

Flight changes happen. For us travelers, we’ve all had flights delayed or maybe even cancelled.

So what does Trip.com do in these instances?

First of all, they contact you almost IMMEDIATELY. Not only via push-notification (if you’re using the APP, which I HIGHLY recommend!) but also over e-mail or text message, depending on what you provided!

They are SO SO SO communicative about changes made to your flight. And honestly, it gave me SO much peace of mind!

If the changes made to your flight do present a scheduling conflict, you can quickly and easily connect with customer service.

I wrote an ENTIRE post on Trip.com’s Customer Service, and why they’re so amazing. So be sure to check that post out HERE for more information.

Trip.com’s communication throughout the entire process of my flights with them is always top-tier. They stay on top of your bookings, so you don’t have to worry about nasty surprises!

Why I Recommend Trip.com for Flights

In case you haven’t already noticed, I am ALL ABOUT Trip.com. They’re hands-down the BEST travel app that I’ve come across in my decade of traveling. And I’ve used them on three continents!

To be completely honest, I didn’t start booking flights with them until recently. I quickly realized that I was REALLY missing out!

The experience that I had with booking flights on Trip.com was the absolute BEST and SMOOTHEST experience I’ve had, EVER!

It was SO easy to find flights, reserve seats, and add Add-Ons like AirHelp and VIP lounges. Plus the communication about changes to our flight schedule was SO on-point.

I truly think that booking Trip.com flights was the experience that made me fall in love with the app. So if you’re booking flights soon, I highly recommend doing so through Trip.com!
