You’ve got your travel inspo, now it’s time to make plans. This Sanya China Map I made for fellow tourists will help you make your plans effortlessly, by easily mapping out all of the key areas you’ll want to visit!
Am I the only person who does all of this reading and research on a new place, only to show up and realize just how far apart all of the city’s tourist spots are? If this hasn’t happened to you, I hope for your sake it never does!
It can be disheartening to have a vision of all of the things you can do, just to realize upon arrival that you didn’t plan for how time consuming it can be to visit each spot.
Sometimes just a single tourism area turns into an entire day trip, due to the commute times.
Sanya China Map for Tourists
Knowing this, I went ahead and put together a handy little Sanya China Map for Tourists on Google that will show you just where all of the best spots are.
Without further ado, here’s the map!
Very simply, the purple pins on this map mark some of the biggest tourist destinations in Sanya.
Description of Destinations on the Sanya China Map
Here are some quick descriptions of each of the places I marked on the map!
Beaches in sanya China
I wrote an entire post describing all of the beaches earlier. You can check that out to read more about them in detail.
On the map, I marked the four main beaches in Sanya China. They are: Sanya Bay, Dadonghai Bay, Yalong Bay, and Houhai Bay. They’re all pretty different, and all worth visiting!
Tourist Spots
Here are the tourist spots I pinned on the map:
- Nanshan Buddha Statue: one of the biggest Buddha statues in China, and a beautiful tourist area.
- Yalong Bay Rainforest Park: a truly tropical experience where you get fully immersed in the jungle!
- Deer Turning Head Park: a beautiful spot to watch the sunset, close to both Sanya and Dadonghai Bays.
- Atlantis Hotel & Waterpark: not only a hotel, but a super fun (and pretty massive!) waterpark in Sanya.
- Tianyahaijiao Park: a very tranquil park in Sanya which has plenty of local culture (and even a museum!).
- Monkey Island: while not technically an island, this little peninsula is a lovely protected area for monkeys.
As you can see, some of those pins are quite far from the main bays and hotel areas. I recommend taking a day trip for those sites (and I have some advice about getting around Sanya in this post).
