Is Trip.com Reliable?

Before paying and booking with any travel company, we want to make sure our booking is reliable and our personal info secure.

No one wants to show up to their hotel after a long day of traveling, only to learn that your booking has an issue.

Or worse: to call your booking company’s customer service during an issue, only to get a machine which doesn’t help you with your problem at all.

So is Trip.com a legit company to book with? Here are my short and sweet explanations of why I find Trip.com to be extremely reliable.

Will My Bookings on Trip.com go Through?

I’ve booked over a dozen hotels through Trip.com, on three different continents.

I’ve also booked flights (I wrote about the Trip.com flight experience in this post!) as well as several sightseeing experiences.

In my now four years of booking through Trip.com, I’ve only had ONE booking fall through, and it was to visit the Chengdu Panda Reserve. And it wasn’t actually Trip.com’s fault!

When it comes to local parks or experiences, sometimes Trip.com works with a third-party to book your tickets. In this situation, the third-party platform never emailed me my tickets, and it wasn’t Trip’s fault.

So how did Trip.com handle it? Their customer service was AMAZING and super helpful, and I got a full refund! I was able to buy tickets at the gate, and in the end, everything went smoothly.

I wrote more details about how Trip.com’s customer service has handled any problems I’ve encountered with bookings over the years in this post.

In short: bookings on Trip.com are extremely reliable! And in the event that there is an issue, their customer service is super helpful!

Is Trip.com Customer Service Reliable?

I mostly touched on this in the above section…but yes, they are EXTREMELY good!

I’ve had very few issues with bookings over the years, but Trip.com’s customer service was always SUPER helpful in each situation!

I wrote an entire post, which includes several personal stories of my experiences with Trip.com’s customer service, HERE!

From my experiences, the customer service on Trip.com is extremely reliable and effective at solving problems!

Is My Payment Information Safe on Trip.com?

No one wants their credit card information getting stolen and compromised. Is Trip.com’s platform safe?

The answer: YES! Trip.com’s policies for payment and security on this webpage! You can pay via most credit cards, ApplePay, or even WeChat (for my China-travel friends!)

According to Trip.com’s website, they take the appropriate measures to ensure your payment information stays secure throughout their process.

So far, all of my bookings and payments on Trip.com (I’ve used at least 3 different payment methods!) have gone seamlessly.

Summary

If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable to use booking platform, Trip.com has it all!

Trip.com calls itself the “All-In-One” booking platform, and having booked flights, hotels, and experiences through them, I would TOTALLY agree!

So is Trip.com reliable? Based on my four years of booking with them and the dozens of people I’ve referred, I’d say definitely YES!
