Trip.com Reviews from an Everyday Traveler

I was not asked to write this post by Trip.com. I genuinely LOVE this app and want other travelers to be aware of it.
I’m an ordinary person, with an ordinary job, who likes to travel in my spare time. That’s how I started using Trip.com, and that’s how I’ve been using it up until now!
So if you’re an ordinary, non-influencer/partnership kind of traveler, this post is for you!
Why I Love Trip.com
I wrote an ENTIRE post on why Trip.com is legit and great to use HERE. But for quick reviews on the main functions of the Trip.com app/experience, read on!
1. Their User Platform Is SUPER Easy To Navigate!
Trip.com’s app is VERY easy to navigate. It’s simple, straightforward, and makes searches/bookings a breeze.
Some travel apps are very complicated to navigate, which makes searching or booking a nuisance. Or it’s difficult to find the app’s booking policy, or specific policies for hotels or parks.
Trip.com’s user interface is, in my opinion, one of the best. It’s easy to find what you want, and to get the details on every hotel, flight, train, or tourism site available on the app.
In recent months, Trip.com has actually rolled out quite a few updates on their mobile app, which have made their app even more comfortable to use.
In my book, Trip.com gets a 10/10 for user-friendliness!
2. Trip’s Customer SErvice Is Great!!
Of all the reviews on various aspects Trip.com, this is perhaps the most significant one, in my opinion!
Travel apps that handle bookings well are great. But travel app that handle booking PROBLEMS well are super.
With traveling (especially in rural areas of Asia, where I usually go), it’s not “IF” you have problems, it’s “WHEN”!
Now don’t get me wrong: rules are rules. What do I mean by that?
I mean that if you booked with “free cancellation until 6pm on Monday”, and you’re calling Trip at 7pm because you got sick and had to cancel your trip…you can’t be mad if they (rightly) choose to follow their policies!
However, I’ve had several issues arise during hotel/park ticket bookings (which were never Trip’s fault, but the fault of the hotel/park), and each time, Trip.com was SO helpful in helping to resolve things.

Talking with REAL people who are GENUINELY helpful is something that I think REALLY makes Trip.com stand out!
3. What You See Is What You Get
I’ve found that the Trip.com app tends to have sufficient reviews for activities or hotels, which helps the decision making process a lot. And the reviews align well with reality.
Also, it’s easy to locate the policies or requirements for each booking. Both Trip.com’s policies, as well as the policies of the airline, hotel, or tourist site are written in clear language, so there’s no ambiguity.
There isn’t much “fine print”, and what you see is really what you get.
I really haven’t had any “nasty surprises” with Trip.com thus far, and I love the straightforwardness of the app.
4. It’s Easy to Earn Rewards
I write more about the rewards process in this post about Trip.com, but in short, it’s really easy to earn them!
By leaving reviews for bookings you made on the Trip.com app, or posting qualifying trip moments, you can earn “Trip Coins” to put towards bookings.
I’ve earned enough Trip Coins over the years to pay for several overnights in of our hotels in China.
It’s SO easy to earn rewards with Trip.com!
Summary
Trip.com is, in my opinion, the best all-in-one travel app. Whether you’re a part time traveler (like I am), or a full-time expat who’s always globetrotting (like I’ve been!), this app is just FANTASTIC.
